Podcast BSB 817: The golden hills and paleontological treasures of the Lower Prut valley
In this podcast, Afanasie Prepelita, tourism marketing expert of the “Development and promotion of green tourism in the Danube sector of the Black Sea basin” project, talks about the Golden Hills and the paleontological treasures of the Lower Prut valley. The expert comes with clarifications and additions about certain natural objects in the Lower Prut valley, which are advertised as tourist attractions. It is about the Golden Hills and the Văleni Outcrop. These objects are seen as a natural heritage in the area. Some authors qualify them as story images with reference to the Văleni hills. In the first case, it is a relief form with certain morphological characteristics and geological composition. In the second case, we consider the place where the remains of fossil organisms were found, which lived on these places in the geological past and currently represent a paleontological deposit.
